Guidence
Guidence on how to create if you would liked to create.
Connection and being present
Expressing artistical is often about listening to yourself and what you have to say. To listen, you need to tune inwards, ground yourself. It´s plenty of ways to do this. This is for before you start creating. Here are some few tips:
Meditate.
Dance to your favorite song.
Walk in the forrest/in the city and take notice of your surroundings.
Lay down and scan your body.
Write intuitivly without taking the pen off the paper.
Or you get an idea that comes naturally, and you follow the idea.
Dont say no, only say yes
Learn to not follow your “No´s” when you express yourself. Something bad, can become something good, so dare to try. Something skitty, became a good idea about something completly different.
Process and not result based
Focus on the process and not on the result. When you dance, draw, act or something else, do not focus on the result. Focus on the movement, moment, the feeling of drawing or sensing your body. Do not focus on juging if it is good or bad, if it looks good, sounds terrible. Try to let that go. If you juge if it is good or bad, you can easily stop doing what you are doing and not continue.
Your way
Find tools and your own twist on tools that works for you.
Nothing is the right tool, because we are all different. If it do not feel right, do not do it or check if it is more your way to do it.
Tools
Tools to generate materials.
Intuitive drawing
15 minutes
Have one piece of paper and some prefered materials (water colors, pencil, oil pastels etc). Before you start you can meditate if you want or connect inwards with some breathing. The clue is to get you in contact with your body and not head. If your too much in your head, you can easily start to jugde “good” or “bad”. Take a timer on, and do not decide what you want to draw before you start. See what happens and dare to follow whatever that is and then you will after 15 minutes have something. Enjoy it.
Your meeting with art
Go to a gallery or art museum. Go around and sense in your body what relates to you. Try not to like it because it is well known, or it has an good explanation. Try to test out why you like it. Does it tell you something about yourself? Is the interest the shape, the colors, the topic, does it make you imagine things, does it make you want to dance, does it make you want to ripe apart the art piece? What you like from oothers art, can tell you a lot about how you want to create your own art.
Use your reflections to transform to new words
1. Choose one reflection you have written before.
2. Go through your reflection and see if is any sentences you enjoyed.
3. Write for 10 min about these two sentences.
